In October, Lawrence and his daughter Kristi flew for a quick trip to Poland to record two songs with 16 professional violinists and cellists selected from the symphony in Lublin. The recording took place in a dance studio with a wall of mirrors as a backdrop, which presented a few fun challenges on the video (camera people are seen in the shots, Lawrence’s conducting is only seen “behind” the musicians, etc). It was a very fast 3-day trip, in which father and daughter stole a few moments to see the sights, refamiliarize themselves with the city they had spent 3 years living in in the 1990s, and eating some wonderfully delicious Polish quisine.
